Visually Evoked Potential (VEP) |
The visual pathway, composed of nerves from the eyeball travelling to the back of the brain, allows for sight. The Visually Evoked Potential study is performed by providing visual stimuli and then using electrodes to detect corresponding electrical activity along the visual track as the signal is transmitted to the visual center at the back of the brain. The study is helpful in investigating possible causes of decreased of vision. |
